Alex is regularly instructed by Local Authorities, parents and Guardians in public law proceedings which make up a considerable part of her busy practice. However, she frequently appears in complex private law, children act cases too, including those arising from surrogacy arrangements. Alex has a particular interest in disability issues and the welfare of vulnerable adults and is therefore very happy to appear in the Court of Protection. She is described as having a down to earth and “no-nonsense” approach to the work she undertakes but with a meticulous attention to detail.
