I have a mixed practice of prosecution and defence work, generally before the Crown Court. I am frequently instructed by the CPS in serious sex offence cases including rapes and offences against children. I am experienced in managing vulnerable witnesses in a compassionate manner whilst seeking the truth in any case.

For the last 15 years I have developed a specialism in consumer protection and animal welfare law. I am frequently instructed by three North West local authorities to prosecute cases at all levels and am very experienced in Proceeds of Crime applications. I routinely deal with cases relating to trade marks, animal cruelty, firework storage and breaches of planning enforcement amongst other things.

I am often instructed in cases before the Court of Appeal relating to both conviction and sentence. I have also undertaken work in the Administrative Court.

I have appeared in the Coroners Court for Inquests lasting up to two weeks on behalf of Local Authorities and the National Probation Service.
