Jacob joined chambers as a tenant in January 2025, after successfully completing a family law pupillage under the supervision of Sarah Griffin.

Before starting pupillage, Jacob worked within family law as a paralegal for two years gaining a range of experience. Firstly, at a leading boutique family law firm working on matrimonial finance cases and private law cases. Subsequently, at a local authority developing his understanding of care proceedings, DOLs and the pre-proceedings process.

During first-six pupillage, he observed the full range of family law matters, from adoption and care cases to FDRs in financial remedies.

Jacob regularly carries out private law and public law cases. In private law children this includes final hearings and a fact finding hearing. In public law, this includes acting for local authorities and parents in care proceedings. He has also appeared in financial remedy cases, and this is an area he is keen to develop.

Outside of the law, Jacob enjoys all things Ottolenghi, travel and keeping up his French.
