Private Law Children Act ‐ Particular interest in cases involving relocation of children both within and outside the jurisdiction of England and Wales.
I hope to bring a realistic, frank and collaborative starting point to any work I undertake. For me, litigation should be the last resort. It is, after all, stressful and expensive.
However, in some situations litigation is inevitable. If that is the case, then I am a well ‐ prepared and determined advocate.
Notable Cases
On behalf of the Guardian, recently instructed in 3 week High Court Public Law litigation exploring the controversial area of antenatal bone disorders as an explanation to serious injuries sustained by a new born. Responsible for marshalling 8 separate medical experts instructed on behalf of the Guardian, organising further medical evidence mid ‐ hearing, and leading argument on complex procedural disclosure points arising from an evidential cross ‐ over between family and criminal proceedings.
On behalf of a Father, recently instructed in High Court international relocation litigation, considering recent developments in this area of the law. Successfully resisted an application by Mother to transfer the child in question to India.
