Savannah joined chambers in 2023, following her successful pupillage under the supervision of Jonathan Buchan.

During pupillage, Savannah gained experience of public, private and financial remedy proceedings.  Savannah observed all manner of hearings, including interim applications, final hearings and finding of fact’s, encompassing a wide range of matters including historic sexual abuse and non-accidental injury. During pupillage, Savannah was instructed on behalf of Local Authority’s to complete chronologies of phone records, assisting in contested hearings.

Savannah regularly acts on behalf of Local Authorities, parents and other family members in both public and private Children Act proceedings and is experienced with Family Law Act applications. Savannah regularly receives instructions in all hearings from initial through to final. Savannah has experience of representing vulnerable clients in proceedings, and has provided advice on matrimonial finance matters.

Prior to pupillage, Savannah was a member of her university and school debating team, regularly succeeding in competition. Since leaving university, Savannah has returned to act as a mock-judge in university debating competitions. During bar school, Savannah was a member of the legal advice clinic, offering advice on a variety of matters to members of the public.

Savannah was previously employed as a barrister’s clerk, gaining experience in liaising directly with clients, solicitors, court staff and fellow members of the bar. Savannah’s experiences as a clerk have equipped her with a wide knowledge of the ‘behind the scenes’ process of progressing a matter to court, and an enhanced understanding of a clients wishes throughout proceedings.

Outside of work, Savannah enjoys walking her dogs, horse riding, playing hockey and baking.
